Well, October is here. October is the last month of the official golf season at our course. After Oct. 15, the clubhouse will be closed on Monday and Tuesday and open the rest of the week.
There is still lots of time to get in a few more rounds before the end of the month. Our course is in great shape and the trees are beginning their yearly metamorphosis. It is beautiful. I want to thank our grounds crew for doing such an excellent job on the maintenance of the course. You might want to stop by and thank Bob Gray this week, as he will be leaving Saturday to head back to Florida.
Coming this Sunday will be our Last Fall Fling GFL Scramble at 1 p.m. Open to all players, call the proshop to get your name or team on the list. We can put you on a team with members and GFL players. There will be refreshments after, supplied by The Lakeside Restaurant.
The Lakeside Restaurant will be providing entertainment by Paul LaPointe on Friday, Oct. 20. He will begin at 6 p.m. and serenade the diners with music from the 1960’s, 70’s, and 80’s. Call Nancy to make your reservations for that night.
