Putnam House senior center in Houlton

Every Tuesday morning from 8:30 to noon, the Putnam House summer program for seniors gathers at First Baptist Church in its temporary quarters for food, fun and fellowship.

Last Tuesday, Oct. 3, about 14 people came and went throughout the morning playing bridge, Rummikub and other games. There was lots of laughter and good conversation evident. The church is a temporary setting as the organization awaits the rental or purchase of a permanent site for seniors to gather.

Come on over to the Ladies Parlor at First Baptist Church and enjoy an hour or two of fellowship. It is hoped that by Thanksgiving the program will be in a permanent location and open more hours.
