CALVIN LLOYD ROCKWOOD, MONTICELLO – Calvin Lloyd Rockwood, 65, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at his residence. He was born September 27, 1952, in Whitinsville, MA, the son of Robert and Roslyn (Richardson) Rockwood.
Calvin was an aircraft maintenance specialist in the U.S. Air Force and worked on refueling aircraft in Vietnam, where he was awarded a Purple Heart. Calvin owned and operated a flooring installation business for many years. He loved snowmobiling and hunting. He built his home in Monticello with the help of family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and uncle who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Lois (Schuyler) Rockwood of Monticello; a son, Devan Calvin Rockwood of Newport, NH; sisters, Deborah DiCecco and her husband, Michael, of Millville, MA, Brenda Gould of Uxbridge, MA, Holly Robison of Bend OR, Rhonda Rockwood of Milford, MA, Leslie Storey of Yoncalla, OR, and Lori Danforth and her husband, Jimmy, of Uxbridge, MA. He also leaves behind two uncles, Irving Rockwood of Ayer, MA, and Thomas Rockwood of Dedham, MA; as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Roslyn Rockwood.
