PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — There were no injuries as a result of a multi-vehicle accident on Main Street in Presque Isle Friday afternoon.
Around 2 p.m. a car stopped in the southbound lane, in front of Freshies market, to make a left turn onto Davis Street, and three vehicles behind the car collided while attempting to stop, police said.
The first car that stopped to turn was not hit, but the three vehicles behind it, a Chevy Impala, a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Sienna van, rear ended each other. The Corolla and Sienna were towed away due to damages, said Officer Matt Brown of the Presque Isle Police Department.
After local police were assisted at the scene by members of the fire department and Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office, Main Street was cleared within 30 minutes.
