The Houlton Chapter of TOPS met Friday, Nov. 3, with 11 TOPS and two KOPS present.
The loser of the week was Denise Clark and the runner-up was Jean Merritt. Good job, girls.
Millie Gagnon gave the weight report. Cheryl gave the secretary’s report and Janette Nelson gave the financial report. Thank you all.

Opal Adams presented the program on ways to lose weight. Find a diet that works for you and stick to it. A study shows that eating a substantial breakfast will help you eat less throughout the day. Keeping a food journal will also help. Think, Are you going to eat a “goody” or or two if you have to write it down? Stock your pantry, your desk at work or even your purse with good healthy snacks. Make a practice of portion control. Add lots of vegetables and fruits, less carbs and sweets. And finally plan ahead for get togethers or week end parties or maybe the last BBQ for the season. A healthy lifestyle can lead to a longer and happier “new you”. Thank you, Opal.
