LINNEUS, Maine — A 17-year-old Oakfield female avoided injury Tuesday despite losing control of her vehicle and crashing in Linneus.
Aroostook County Sheriff Darrell Crandall stated in a press release Wednesday morning that the teen, whose name was not released due to her age, was driving north on the Drews Mills Road in Linneus in a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer when she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll over shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday.
The vehicle entered the soft dirt shoulder of the road, causing the driver to lose control, Crandall said.
“Fortunately, the young lady was wearing her seatbelt and was not injured,” the sheriff said.
The damage disabled the vehicle which had to be towed from the scene. The crash was investigated by deputy Alishia Ledger.
