NAUGATUCK, Connecticut — Mary Florence (White) Jordan, 90, the wife of the late Arden Jordan, passed away peacefully Friday, November 10, 2017, at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Jordan was born on May 28, 1927, in Houlton, Maine, a daughter of the late Emery and Ella (Houlton) White and had lived in Naugatuck since 1955. Mrs. Jordan was a retired employee of Lotus Health Care, and Alpine Screw Manufacturing. Mrs. Jordan enjoyed her time spent at the Middlebury Senior Center. She also enjoyed Friendship Circle time and sing-a-longs in the Pub at the Avon Health Center.
Mrs. Jordan is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Hughes of Naugatuck; her son, Michael Jordan and his wife, Marlene of Apollo Beach, FL; her granddaughter, Dawn Andersen-Seaman and her husband, Robert of West Simsbury, CT; her grandsons, Steven Jordan and his wife, Ruth of Lutz, FL, Gary Hughes and his wife, Michelle of Naugatuck and Bert Hughes and his wife, Heather of Middlebury, CT; her eleven great-grandchildren, Blair, Shelby, Michael and William Seaman; Isabella and Anna Jordan; Kylie, Kaylynn and Zachary Hughes; and Skyler and Cole Hughes; her son-in-law, Thomas Griffin of Wolcott, CT, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Jordan was predeceased by her parents, husband, and daughter, Dorothy Griffin.
Mrs. Jordan’s family would like to thank the staff at the Avon Health Center for the wonderful care they provided.
A life celebration was held Monday, November 13, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck, CT. Calling hours were Sunday, November 12, 2017, from2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
