CARIBOU, Maine — A Littleton man who was charged with a sex crime was one of 50 people indicted by the Aroostook County grand jury in October.
Aroostook County District Attorney Todd Collins said Tuesday that the grand jury handed down indictments against 50 individuals on Nov. 9.
Gary M. Bishop, 46, of Littleton, was charged with sexual abuse of a minor and violation of a protection order. The charges stem from a June 23 incident in which Bishop allegedly engaged in a sexual act with a minor who was 14 or 15 years of age and not his spouse, according to the indictment. He is accused of violating the protection order that same day and allegedly assaulted the victim who was named in the protective order.
The grand jury also indicted the following on a variety of charges ranging from domestic violence assault to trafficking in drugs:
