The Caribou Middle School boys’ basketball team dropped league games to Presque Isle and Houlton last week to fall to 1-2 overall.
The Wildcats’ height advantage keyed a 53-40 win in Presque Isle last Wednesday. Michael Brigman scored 20 points and Ari Plante added nine in the loss, while Griffen McNeal and Nate Lizotte led Caribou in rebounding.
Noah Yarema scored 22 points and Malachai Cummings added 11 for PI.
Houlton handed the Vikes a 70-58 loss at Caribou Saturday. Reece Cavagnaro and Plante tallied 18 and 15 points, respectively, for Caribou. Alex Levesque posted 13 and Braydon Willette and Ryan Austin netted six each.
Nolan Hodgkins’ 17 points led the way for the Shires.
