CARIBOU, Maine – Helen M. White, R.N., 94, wife of the late Lendal White, died on November 20, 2017, at Presque Isle. She was born at Woodland on November 28, 1922, the daughter of the late Roy and Eva (Thibodeau) Doak.
Mrs. White attended Caribou Schools and was a 1941 graduate of Skowhegan High School, and 1947 graduate from Eastern Maine Medical Hospital. She was a dedicated registered nurse for 37 years, 25 years on the maternity ward at Cary Memorial Hospital, as well as Cary Medical Center. Mrs. White was a long time active member of the Caribou Untied Baptist Church. She was a member and past Matron of Elizabeth Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, as well as a member of the Dorcas Rebecca Circle.
She survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Nadine and Eric Ahlsen of Cape Elizabeth, Eleanor and Dick St. Peter of Connor Township, and Charlotte and Alan Willey of Caribou; her grandchildren, Matt and Lucas Ahlsen, Vicki Conley and Doug, Kirk St. Peter and wife Kristi, Tiffany Vencil and husband Ken, and Krystal Willey; great-grandchildren, Colton and Carter Conley and Marienna St. Peter and Autumn Vencill; a great-great-granddaughter, Addylin Conley and great-great-grandson, Jameson Conley.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, on Saturday, November 25, 2017, from 11 a.m. until time of service, which was held at 1 p.m. from the funeral home with Rev. John Kiehn officiating. Interment was at the Evergreen Cemetery. www.mocklerfunerhome.com
