PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Mark and Emily Turner Memorial Library will host a gathering of local writers Wednesday, Dec. 13, in a celebration of the holiday season.

The program will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the library and celebrates the close of the first season of “Local Writers at the Library” programs.

The event’s featured writer will be Martie Pritchard. A round robin of readings by Alice Bolstridge, Lloyd Archer, Orpheus Allison, Larry Parks and Larry Bubar will honor winter holidays.

All are welcome to attend; the program is free and light refreshments will be available.

The second season of the writer gatherings will begin in January with organizer Vaughn Hardacker.
