Tracy Guerrette of Saint Agatha and Bangor clocked a time of 2 hours, 48 minutes, 40 seconds Sunday during the USA Track and Field marathon championships at Sacramento, Calif.
The championship event, also known as the California International Marathon, drew a field of 7,288 runners and Guerrette finished 352nd overall and 53rd among the 62 elite women’s finishers.
She also finished 73rd among the 3,420 women overall in the field.
The 37-year-old Guerrette ran at a 6:27 pace for the 26.2-mile distance, with splits of 38:10 for 10 kilometers, 1:21:27 for a half-marathon and 2:06:17 for 20 miles amid temperatures in the upper 50s.
The former Wisdom High School and University of Maine basketball standout, competing in her second marathon in just over two months, earned the elite designation for the California International Marathon by winning the Maine Marathon on Oct. 1 in 2:43:47.
