2018 could be the year to quit tobacco

If your New Year’s resolution is to quit smoking, you are not alone. It’s a popular goal and you can succeed.

People who stop smoking can greatly reduce their risk for disease and early death. The younger you are when you quit, the better your chances of avoiding health problems.

Planning ahead can help make your healthy resolution a reality. Aroostook County Action Program Tobacco Specialists, have resources to help you quit.
The Maine Tobacco Helpline (800-207-1230) and/or thequitlink.com provide free services from the Center of Tobacco Independence. The center offers evidence based treatment in the form of phone counseling, free nicotine replacement therapy and ongoing support to help you achieve your quitting goals.
January 1st is a great quit date, start planning.
