Houlton pedestrian struck by car

HOULTON, Maine — A Houlton woman was injured on Friday, Dec. 1, when she was struck by a car while walking near the County Yankee grocery store, according to police.

Houlton Police Chief Tim Deluca said Tuesday that police are still investigating the accident and details about the case are not yet available.

He said that according to information in an accident report, Stacy Hall, 32, was on foot near the County Yankee grocery store on Military Street when the accident occurred at approximately 6:07 p.m.

Deluca said that Hall was struck by a 2009 GMC Yukon driven by James Lincoln, 57, of Houlton.

Deluca had no other details at hand about the circumstances surrounding the accident.

The chief said that Hall was conscious at the scene and was taken by ambulance to Houlton Regional Hospital.

Further details about her condition were not immediately available Tuesday.

Sgt. Charles Wampler is investigating the accident.
