Snow caused an accident

A SNOW-COVERED ROAD was blamed for an accident on the Washburn Road on Wednesday, Jan. 19, in Presque Isle that was reported about 7:20 a.m. Kelly J. Page, 42, of Presque Isle, lost control of his vehicle, striking a utility pole before coming to rest in the ditch, just feet away from the Aroostook River. The pole was not damaged but Page’s vehicle sustained front-end damage and had to be towed. Sgt. Eric Erickson, of the PIPD, responded to investigate and completed the necessary crash report. Recent snows have caused several minor accidents, with police reminding motorists to use caution and reduce speed when road conditions are questionable.
