HOULTON, Maine — Four Shires were among the many athletes honored during the Little Ten Conference All-Star banquet Dec. 3 in Brewer.
Seniors Seth Holston, Damon Reynolds, Tristan Cosby and Jacob Forest all received recognition during the banquet for their performance on the field and in the classroom this season.
Holston, a running back and defensive back, was named to the LTC first-team offensive squad and was a second-team all star for defense. He also received All-Conference All-Academic honors.
Holston rushed for 906 yards with six touchdowns for the Shires this season. He also had two kick returns for touchdowns. Defensively, Holston collected 56 tackles and had one interception.
Reynolds, an offensive guard and defensive tackle, was named to the first-team offensive squad for the second straight season. He also was named to the second-team for defense. He had three “pancake” blocks on offense, 25 tackles, two sacks, two fumble recoveries and one safety.
Cosby, a defensive end, received second-team all star status for defense. He also was named to the All-Conference All-Academic team. Cosby finished with 46 tackles and three sacks on defense.
Forest, a linebacker, was named to the All-Conference All-Academic team.
