Bessie M. Sawyer

BESSIE M. SAWYER, LINNEUS – Bessie M. Sawyer, 81, passed away on December 25, 2017, in Houlton, with her family by her side. She was born on March 6, 1936, in New Limerick, the daughter of Ray and Elsie (Seward) Jipson.
Bessie enjoyed going to church, doing word finds and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Belinda Cofske and Wayne, and Beth and Jody McAfee, all of Linneus; her grandchildren, Melinda Moran of Linneus, Steven Moran of Westbrook, Evan Gonya, Carla Sawyer, Ryan Sawyer and Haley, all of Houlton; eight great-grandchildren, Olivia, Mataya, Kealy, Eason, Riley, Declan, Carter and Macy; two brothers, Hollis and Clara Jipson of Hodgdon, Ansel Jipson of Houlton; sisters-in-law, Brenda Swimm of Houlton, Linda Sawyer of Linneus, Jean Sawyer of Presque Isle; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Carl; two sons, Arthur Jipson and Carl Sawyer Jr.; two brothers, Herschel and Lewis.
