What do Rick Scott and Paul LePage have in common?

Interesting article found in today’s (Dec. 16) Washington Post. The newspaper reports that President Trump is prepared to go “all in” in campaigning for the 2018 midterm elections. He is anxiously awaiting news that two of his favorite governors, Rick Scott of Florida and Paul LePage of Maine have decided to run for the U.S. Senate. He wants to aggressively campaign with them.

This is the same president that was “all in” for Roy Moore of Alabama — a man who is accused of sexual harassment of young girls, and documented slander of Jews, Muslims and African Americans. This is the same president who just helped engineer the biggest tax rape of the middle class thru the reallocation of wealth from “working people” to the “top 1 percent.” This is the same Republican Party that just reneged on a promise made to Sen. Susan Collins in order to secure her vote on tax reform.

I can’t wait to see the president with an abysmal popularity rating (32 percent) working hand-in-hand with a Gov. LePage who demonstrably has left the State of Maine in worse economic standing than when he became governor. I hope that the good people of Maine recognize these two for what they are — con artists.
