LIMESTONE, Maine – Brenda Dewley went to be with the lord on January 21, 2018. Brenda was born on March 12, 1948, in Presque Isle, to Stanley Knox, and Muriel (Withers) Knox.
Brenda graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1966, where she belonged to the Eastern Star.
She also lived in Caribou, Presque Isle, and Limestone.
She worked for years as a CNA – Med Tech, she loved horse racing and traveling. She visited Pompano Race Track, Meadowlands Race Track, and Freehold Race Track. She also had visited the World Trade Center, Texas, Florida, Mexico.
She fought a long hard battle with lung disease, being cared for at home by her daughter, Kim, and granddaughters, Kara and Kelly.
She was predeceased by her father, Stanley Knox, her mother, Muriel Knox, her sister, Shirley Ann Knox, aunts Beatrice McKay, Marie Quick, and son-in-law, Duane Corey.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Cullinan, and son, Shawn Dewley and wife, Lori Dewley; four granddaughters, Kelly Dewley, Kara Dewley, Krista Dewley Craig, and Chelsea Guerrette; two grandsons, Jesse Dewley and Jonathan Guerrette; six great-grandsons, Aaron, Jakob, Kaydyn, Parker, Karson, and Gabe; two great-granddaughters, Amiah and Annah; her ex-husband, Sonny Dewley and significant other, Joseph Underwood, and sister, Norma Grimsley, nephew, John Grimsley and wife Aleta Grimsley, David Grimsley and wife Leslie Grimsley; three great nephews, and two great nieces; and many special friends, including Tiffany Ireland and two daughters, Payton and Layla, and Jason Espling, and Sean Cloney; one cousin, Barbara Currier.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2018, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church Street, Presque Isle, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018, with Pastor George McGlaughlin, officiating.
