PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Mikaela Sue Faye, a hairdresser at Great Beginnings Hair Boutique in Presque Isle, was nationally recognized on Artego Hair Color’s “Best Works of the Week” video on the Italian company’s Facebook page for the week of Jan. 19.
Every week, Artego invites hairdressers around the world to post photos of customers’ hair that they have colored with their products using the hashtag #ArtegoLife. The company chooses 10 hair colorings per video to recognize. Great Beginnings recently began using Artego products and Faye’s featured hair coloring was the first time that she had posted with the Artego hashtag.
“I was super excited when I found out about the video. It’s always nice to have your work recognized,” Faye said.
Faye has been a hairdresser at Great Beginnings since November 2016. Boutique owner Sheri Carter was the first employee to see Artego’s video and quickly shared the news with co-workers and on Great Beginnings’ Facebook page.
“Mikaela is very talented, especially when it comes to hair coloring, and she loves taking before and after pictures. We’ve all been really excited for her,” Carter said.
