Time to stop and smell the … tulips
To the editor:
How often are we too busy to notice the simple things in life?
As I sit at my living room table looking out the window, I see the robins on the lawn looking for food. The robins are big ones and small ones, water running, the squirrels teasing our dog — just out of reach. Maybe a moose goes through your garden spot or a bear passes by your treeline. The leaves blowing all around, the trees blowing in the wind. Horses kicking up their heels happy to be outside. Little ones out discovering new things. Neighbors’ cows get out and end up in your yard. Steak on the hoof delivered! Tulips and flowers start to come up.
Instead of hurrying just slow down and enjoy the beauty from our Creator! It’s the only thing in this life that is free! Let’s not destroy this beauty like we have everything else!
