Arlo Hall of Houlton toured the Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum recently with his daughter, Yvonne Hyman. As they came into the Longstaff Room, Hall spied a red Honda 175 motorcycle that looked just like one he had bought in the early 1970s from Ken Butler of Butler Motors. Hall said that later in the 70s a Houlton businessman, Carl Crawford offered him $100 for it and he took it.
As they looked closer at the information attached to the bike they found that lo and behold it had been donated to the museum by Crawford. Little did Hall know that Crawford would tuck it away in his collection all those years ago and eventually donate it to the museum. Great memories can be found as one takes a stroll down memory lane at this historical venue right in your backyard. The museum in Littleton will be hosting a pork roast supper on Saturday, Feb. 17, from 4:30 p.m. until 6. Come have a meal and view the many interesting items on display. It is also time to become a member or renew your dues. Enjoy your supper free with a paid single membership of $20 or $30 for a family.
