RUBENIA MAE BOTTING, PATTEN – Rubenia Mae Botting, 84, passed away on February 8, 2018. She was born on May 17, 1933, in Patten, the daughter of Dale and Dorothy (Ingraham) Purvis.
Rubenia attended Patten Academy where she graduated in 1951 and worked 28 years for Penquis CAP. 1955 she married Delbert Botting of Dyer Brook, they spent 63 wonderful years together and had many travels and adventures. Throughout those years Delbert and Rubina welcomed three children, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren into their lives.
Rubenia was kind, caring, compassionate, and loved by all. She spent much of her time helping others by volunteering at the Senior Center in Patten, knitting, making quilts, and working in her garden.
Rubenia leaves behind her husband, Delbert Botting of Patten; daughter, Dorothy Peavey of Patten, and son, Delbert Botting of Williamsburg, VA. She is predeceased by her daughter, Darlene Tilley, and brothers, Warren and Lawrence Purvis.
Friends called from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at Patten Pentecostal Church, Patten, where funeral services were held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Frank Randall officiating.
