The Class B North Heal Point standings for hockey became official late last week and the Presque Isle Wildcats grabbed the No. 3 seed for the upcoming playoff tournament.
Presque Isle finished 12-6 and will take on sixth-ranked Camden Hills in the quarterfinals at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the Forum in Presque Isle.
The teams split during the season, with the Wildcats losing at home on Dec. 8 by a score of 8-5. At Rockport on Jan. 27, Presque Isle claimed a 6-3 triumph.
The winner moves on to the semifinals at Colby College in Waterville Saturday. If Presque Isle wins, the game time will be 5 p.m.
Old Town/Orono finished in first place with a 17-1 record, while Waterville/Winslow was second at 11-7. Both teams draw quarterfinal byes and head straight into Saturday’s semis.
The other quarterfinal matchup has No. 5 Houlton/Hodgdon/Southern Aroostook/Katahdin (8-9-1) traveling for a Tuesday game at No. 4 Hampden Academy (12-6).
