ROCKPORT, Maine – Woody was born in Caribou, Maine, on September 16, 1928, the son of Forest P. and Faye (McNeal) Greenier, and he grew up in Presque Isle.
In 1955, he married Nancy Littlefield of Calais, Maine. For 36 years, he worked for Dead River Company in Houlton, Presque Isle, Washburn, Bath, Rockland, and Augusta. He retired in 1991.
Woody is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nancy; son, Paul (Skip) Greenier, of Harrison, daughters, Jane (Paul) Pierce of Hope and Beth (Ed) Simmons of Buxton; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Griffin of Presque Isle, Marilyn Bartlett of Lindenhurst, Ill., Donna LaValley of Bernardston, MA, and Andrea Hicks of New Port Richey, FL; brothers, Paul of Monmouth, Peter of Mapleton, and Bob of New Port Richey, FL, as well as a very special sister-in-law, Launa Greenier of Monmouth. He was predeceased by his grandson, Michael Libby.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at the Universalist Church, 345 Broadway, Rockland.
