PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Franklin L. Curtis, 88, passed away on Monday night, February 19, 2018, surrounded by his loving family after a long illness at The Aroostook Medical Center.
Frank married Leona Little on September 5, 1953, and they had eight children together, of which they would pack up all eight kids and go camping every summer. He worked as truck driver in road maintenance for the City of Presque Isle until he retired. He enjoyed having family gatherings, including BBQ’s, camping trips, and going on hunting rides checking for deer. He would always enjoy telling his life experiences with both young and old.
He is survived by his son, Richard and his wife, Lorraine, his four daughters, Penny and her husband, Fred McDonald, Brenda and her husband, Timmie Hafford, Katherine, and Tammy Curtis, all of Presque Isle; ten grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Thelma Peluso, Ruth Corapi of Presque Isle, and Mary Hafford of Augusta. He was predeceased by his wife, Leona (Little) Curtis in 2011, three sons, Ronald in 2001, Gary in 2015, and Leonard in 2017.
Friends called from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church Street, Presque Isle, where funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday with Rev.
