PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Northern Maine Community College will host its annual job fair on Thursday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the college gymnasium.

During the event, the public can meet with hiring representatives from over 65 businesses, organizations and government entities from throughout The County and Maine, all under one roof.

“This is the largest Job Fair we have hosted to date,” said Ruth White, regional director of Early College for ME program. “We have some longstanding employers joining us, but we also have some new to the scene as well.”

The NMCC Job Fair, the largest in Aroostook, brings together a wide range of employers who are looking for skills from laborers, nurses, lab techs, truck drivers, construction, heavy equipment operators, administrative assistants, manager trainees, plus many more. There are jobs across all education levels, full and part time, as well as internship opportunities.

Representatives from NMCC, Husson University, and the University of Maine at Presque Isle will encourage attendees to continue their educational journey.

White said job seekers should come prepared for an interview to take place upon the employer’s request.

“There will be a designated area of the gymnasium for employers to conduct interviews if they wish. It is also highly recommended that interested attendees bring their resumes to showcase their work and education experiences,” she said.

The Job Fair is open to everyone interested in applying for a job or those who want to become acquainted with the opportunities open to them.

“This fair speaks to the quality of the people in Aroostook County as well as their work ethic. It provides an unparalleled opportunity for employers to meet members of their future workforce and for job seekers to realize all that is available to them,” said White.
