The high school volleyball season culminates next week with tournaments being held at four venues across the region.
The Division I boys’ tourney takes place at Presque Isle High School Wednesday, March 14, beginning at 3:30 p.m., while the girls’ Division I event is at Caribou High School, also beginning at 3:30 p.m. March 14.
Houlton, Caribou, Fort Kent, Madawaska and Presque Isle are the Division I schools eligible to field teams.
At Washburn, Division II girls will hold their tournament Tuesday, March 13, at 1:30 p.m. The boys’ Division II teams travel to Fort Fairfield for a tourney Saturday, March 17, beginning at 9 a.m.
Division II schools include Ashland, Central Aroostook, Easton, Fort Fairfield, GHCA, Hodgdon, Katahdin, MSSM, Van Buren, Washburn and Wisdom.
All-tournament teams and MVPs are presented following each event. Tournaments feature pool play, with the top seeds advancing into the playoff round.
The defending champions are the Presque Isle boys and Madawaska girls in Division I and the Fort Fairfield boys and Easton girls in Division II.
