PRESQUE ISLE — Aroostook Partners in the Arts is currently preparing for its fourth annual fundraiser, “Paint Presque Isle: A Fresh Paint Event with Live and Silent Auctions,” to take place Saturday, Aug. 27, in conjunction with the eighth annual Crown of Maine Balloon Fest.
Artists will be painting at various locations around Presque Isle until 3 p.m. when the artwork is collected and prepared for the evening auction, which takes place at 7 p.m. at the Northeastland Hotel on Main Street. A preview reception, with cash bar and appetizers, begins at 6 p.m.
Recent success at this event has enabled the group to accomplish its mission for the benefit of all students. All area artists are invited to participate, and the public is invited to attend and support this cause.
