Pageant Rehearsals Started

Mapleton Pageant rehearsals have started.  Pageant Director Paula Shaw announced the theme of the 2018 Mapleton Pageants will be “The World is Our Canvas – How Will We Paint It?”

Using age and grade levels, nine girls will enter the six pageant divisions: Mini Miss Mapleton, Little Miss Mapleton, Pre-Teen Miss Mapleton, Junior Miss Mapleton, Teen Miss Mapleton and Miss Mapleton.

Shaw explained, “This year’s pageants will showcase the various talents of the pageant contestants and our current reigning queens.  There will be singing, dancing, stand-up comedy, musical kata (Karate) and a monologue.”

There will be group and individual performances that include the current queens:  Sarah Morneault, Miss Mapleton; Meg Casavant, Junior Miss Mapleton; Elizabeth Wing, Pre-Teen Miss Mapleton; and Madison Oakes, Little Miss Mapleton.  This year will be the first year for selecting a Mini Miss Mapleton.

This year’s pageants are sponsored by the Class of 2019.  Tickets will be on sale and can be purchased at the door of the Presque Isle High School Auditorium for $7.  Visiting queens from other communities are welcome to attend as guests of the Mapleton Pageant.
