PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Lois James, 85, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at a Presque Isle health care facility. She was born on July 4, 1932, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Allen and Chrystal (Walton) Kidney.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was proud to be a farmer’s daughter and wife, and her family came first in everything. She is survived by her son, Stephen Paul James of Presque Isle, a daughter, Ann Marie Joles and her husband, Christopher, of Bangor, a brother, Richard Kidney and his wife, Lillian, of Presque Isle, a sister, Shirley Chase and her husband, Donald, of Virginia, as well as a granddaughter, Alexzea Marie James Joles of Bangor. She was predeceased by her husband, Don James, in 2016, a daughter, Linda James, in 1973, and two brothers, Clayton and Arnold Kidney.
Relatives and friends called from 12-1 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held later this spring at Fairmount Cemetery.
