PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Experience feats of second sight and telepathy when The Evasons take the stage at the University of Maine at Presque Isle on Thursday, April 19, at 7 p.m. at the Auditorium in Wieden Hall.
This event is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
During the early 19th century, a small number of married couples gained significant notoriety with performances called Second Sight. The Evasons have been delivering these performances for over 30 years, and they continue to travel around the globe carrying this mysterious but interesting tradition.
The duo has performed in over 35 countries across the globe and made numerous TV appearances on major networks like NBC, FOX, CBS, CW Network, Discovery Channel, and Netflix. They have performed at venues such as the Penn and Teller show “Fool Us,” the World Famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, the Great American Comedy Festival and at an NBA halftime show.
The Psychic Entertainers Association gave them its most prestigious award for distinguished professionalism. They were also the first recipients of “The Mentalism Award” from the Milbourne Christopher Foundation and are the only mentalists to receive the “SARMOTI Award,” which legendary magicians Siegfried and Roy present to their favorite act in Las Vegas.
For those who are skeptical, The Evasons state that everything they do is real and there are no plants or hidden communication devices used; in fact, according to their website, they’ll offer a $100,000 reward if anyone can prove otherwise.
