Employees of Katahdin Trust Company in Caribou recently voted to donate $100 to the Halfway Home Pet Rescue. The funds will be used to help with medical bills of the homeless cats cared for by the volunteers of the pet rescue. Peggy Smith of Katahdin Trust, left, presents to donation to Norma Milton, HHPR president. To date, the non-profit, volunteer-based pet rescue has rescued and given medical care to over 2,500 homeless and/or low-income pets, including spay/neuter expenses. For more information, call 999-1075. HHPR is a Maine licensed pet rescue.  (Courtesy of Norma Milton)
