As temperatures soared into the upper 70s on Wednesday, a number of local baseball and softball squads took advantage of the weather to get in some much-needed games. The Presque Isle softball squad had the highlight of the day as the Wildcats rallied from a 9-6 deficit to beat Fort Kent 16-14 in a slugfest.

Thursday is a relatively quiet day with only a couple of baseball games on the schedule. Greater Houlton Christian Academy travels north to take on Fort Fairfield and Highview Christian plays at East Grand. Both of those contests are scheduled for 4 p.m.

The following is a recap of games played Wednesday.
