CARIBOU, Maine – Carol A. Johnston, 64, died unexpectedly on May 4, 2018, at her Caribou residence. She was born in Caribou on October 9, 1953, the daughter of the late Alexander and Yvette (Tardiff) Dubay. Carol was a 1971 Caribou High School graduate as well as graduating from UMPI with a Master’s Degree in Education.
She was a long time, respected educator in the Caribou school system retiring in 2012, following 35 years of teaching. She is survived by her son, Jared Johnston, of Caribou, her daughter and son-in-law, Mackenzie and Tyler Stevenson of Wayne, her longtime partner, Phil Trombley of Caribou, two brothers, Ronald Dubay of Caribou and Gary Dubay of Washington; her two beloved grandchildren, Wyatt and Isaac Stevenson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 12, 2018, from 12 – 2 p.m., at the Caribou Inn and Convention Center where a celebration of Carol’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ron Rosser officiating. Following the service the family invited everyone for continue fellowship and refreshments at the Caribou Inn.
