The Oakfield Senior Citizens met at the Smoki-Haulers Snowmobile Club in Oakfield for their first meeting in May.
To celebrate May Day, there were several May baskets hanging in the window of the kitchen.
After the potluck luncheon, Bob Locke called the business meeting to order. All reports were read and accepted. Arlene Friel was the winner of the 50/50 raffle.
Members decided to go to The Slice in Island Falls for our summer outing, and later in the summer to have a picnic; more information on that will be upcoming.
Attending were: Arlene Friel, Bernice Campbell, George Barrow, Wannetta Townsend, Bob and Delores Locke, Jeanne Clements, Iona Nadeau, Gladys Corneil, Don and Charlotte Marley and Earl and Lottie Doughty.
The next meeting will be on May 16 at the usual time and place. All seniors are invited to join us.
