CARIBOU, Maine – William L. Fournier, 67, passed away on May 25, 2018, at the House of Comfort in Presque Isle surrounded by his family. He was born in Caribou on August 29, 1950, the son of Fred and Evelyn (Doody) Fournier.
He was a graduate of Caribou High School as well as Northern Maine Technical College. Mr. Fournier purchased Aroostook Scales and then owned and operated All Star Sign Co, until his retirement several years ago. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time outdoors with his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Toni, and his mother, Evelyn, both of Caribou, are his son, Heath Fournier, of Portland, his daughter and son-in-law, Heidi and Garrett Belanger of Presque Isle, his sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Bill Landes of Caribou, three grandchildren, Hayley, Taylor, and Brandon, one great-grandchild, Morgan, his niece, Wendy Landes and her children, Matthew and Harrison, and his longtime friend, Thomas Farley of New Sweden, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Bill also truly loved his canine companions, Sonny and Noel. Mr. Fournier was predeceased by his father, Fred.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018, at the Woodland Cemetery with Rev. George McLaughlin, officiating. Arrangements are by the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com
