FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — The Housing Authority of Fort Fairfield Board of Commissioners has announced Stacey Michaud has joined the authority as its new executive director as of May 1.
Michaud has worked at the Housing Authority for six years, starting as the accounts clerk and working her way to occupancy specialist. At that time, considering her goals for the Housing Authority, she stated she would one day become the executive director.
Michaud is currently the youngest executive director of a housing authority in the state of Maine, and is the Fort Fairfield agency’s first female director.
She is the daughter of the late Mitchell McNamee and Diane Novak. She is a 2008 graduate of Fort Fairfield Middle High School and a 2011 and 2013 graduate of Northern Maine Community College.
Michaud said she is very passionate about her hometown and couldn’t be happier having a career that allows her to stay there.
She currently lives in Fort Fairfield with her husband, Dan, and her brother, Liam.
