PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Wintergreen Arts Center will expand its creative preschool to two class sessions for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year.
The first class will meet from 8 to 11 a.m., and the second from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Both classes can accommodate 14 students each and will meet Monday through Thursday at the Center’s 149 State Street location. Wintergreen’s academic year follows the SAD 1 school calendar.
Under the Willow Tree is for children ages 3 to 5. The preschool uses small-group and hands-on activities, with instruction and guidance to help foster imagination, creativity and critical thinking.
“This will be our third year of operation for Under the Willow Tree,” said Dottie Hutchins, Wintergreen’s executive director. “Our preschool teachers, Lisa Brewer and Katie Greenlaw, pour their hearts into this program. And, from the feedback we’ve received from parents and others, Wintergreen is helping to meet a real need in our community for creative learning opportunities.”
