PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Broadway Kids in The County Theatre Company is still looking for some cast members for the upcoming production, “Shrek the Musical” — specifically, the characters of Lord Farquaad, Donkey and Dragon.
Darci Faye, playwright and founder of Broadway Kids, said, “We are also looking for more actors to round out the ensemble. We are looking for trained dancers, since this show is going to be professionally choreographed, but you don’t have to be a trained dancer to be in the ensemble.”
Rehearsals for the ensemble will be twice a week for three hours a day, with rehearsals for lead characters occurring more often.
The final show will be performed at the Caribou Performing Arts Center over two weekends in July: Friday and Saturday, July 13 and 14 and July 20 and 21, with shows at 7 p.m. all four evenings and 2 p.m. matinees on each Saturday.
