CASWELL, Maine – Angela Cote, 77, died peacefully on Saturday, June 16, 2018, with her family at her side. She was born on January 8, 1941, in Caswell, a daughter of the late Abraham and Mary Ann (Pelletier) Labrecque.
She dedicated herself to the home and loved to chase her rambunctious children around and care for her husband. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Hamlin, for many years. Angela enjoyed busying her hands with knitting and crochet, tending her gardens, and canning her harvests. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and couldn’t wait for their visits.
She is survived by three children, Larry Cote and his wife, Elaine, Sheila Caldwell and her husband, Randy, all of Caswell, and Tina True of Manchester, NH; two sisters, Dorothy Berube and her husband, Emery, of Connecticut, and Irene Belanger of Van Buren; eight grandchildren, Michelle, Danielle, Kyle, Tyler, Lisa, Randy, Ryan, and Daniel; six great-grandchildren, Makylee, Brody, Jasmine, Corey, Trevor, and Jayce; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Angela was predeceased by her husband of almost 57 years, Laurent J. Cote in 2016, an infant sister, Adelaide Labrecque, and five brothers, Lawrence, Gerald, Beecher, Albert, and Roy Labrecque.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hamlin. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 9-10:30 a.m. at Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
