MAPLETON, Maine – Seth Leland Ruest Stevens, 21, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at his home in Mapleton. Seth was born on November 11, 1996 in Presque Isle, the son of Michael Stevens and Tina Ruest.
Seth loved all things mechanical and could work on most any machine. He loved driving trucks in Demolition Derbies and riding snow sleds, where he would push them to their limits, often getting stuck in the process. He loved anything with a loud exhaust, and would drive any vehicle off road to go mudding or just have some fun. Fireworks, and things blowing up were also a passion of Seth’s. He was proud to have been born on Veteran’s Day, and was happy that his birthday was a holiday every year.
Seth had a big heart, and loved volunteering at Leisure Village, visiting residents and helping organizing games there. He was a very hard worker, both at his job, at home, and in his free time.
Seth is survived by his parents, Michael Stevens of Mapleton, Tina Ruest of Presque Isle, his siblings, Chelsea Adams of Easton, Courtney Ruest of Presque Isle, Kayla Carney of Presque Isle, and Jeremy Stevens of Presque Isle, a special niece, Jaylyn Bradstreet, his Uncle Tj and Aunt Christel Winslow, Uncle Rene Morrow and his partner Janelle, Aunt Annette and Uncle Craig Staples, Aunt Marcia Langille, and a very special Uncle Terrance Morrow of NC, a nephew, Gavyn, his cousins, Alexis, Rylee, Ellie, Jonah, and Rawlie, his grandfather Jeff “Papa” Winslow and his partner, Emily Novak.
