Laura “Sis” (Swallow) McLaughlin

LAURA “SIS” (SWALLOW) MCLAUGHLIN, DYER BROOK – Laura “Sis” (Swallow) McLaughlin, 90, passed away Wednesday June 13, 2018 at a local healthcare facility. She was born November 28, 1927, in Oakfield, the daughter of Harry and Thursie (Parker) Swallow.
Laura loved working in her flower gardens, making jellies, and canning pickles. She was a longtime member of the Dyer Brook Community Church.
Laura is survived by her four children: David McLaughlin and his wife Carol, Theodate “Teddy” Condon and her husband Kenny, Craig McLaughlin and his wife Debbie, Dean McLaughlin and his wife Kim, a brother Halden Swallow, as well as several grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will also be remembered by three sisters-in-law: Mary, Marge, and Sida. Laura was predeceased by her husband Olin McLaughlin, four brothers: Pat, Mike, Joe, and Ken Swallow, and a daughter-in-law Lorrie McLaughlin.
At her request there will be no public service. A private burial will take place at Dyer Brook Cemetery.
