Library Happenings
Events happening at the Walter T. A. Hansen Memorial Library in Mars Hill include the following.
Looking for LEGOs — the library will hold a LEGO Party on Saturday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Anyone with LEGOs that they are willing to donate to the library is asked to call 429-9625.
A Mad Hatter Tea Party will be held on Saturday, July 28, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
The library is doing Bikes for Books again this summer. For more information, contact the library at 429-9625.
Homecoming 2018
Plans are in the works for Homecoming 2018. Many events will be returning with some new ones also planned. Save the dates of Aug. 9-12 and come enjoy all the festivities.
Note: Those planning to be in the parade are asked to register as soon as possible by stopping at the Mars Hill Town Office to get a registration form or by calling Kathy at 540-6325.
Thursday night will be the ice cream social at the Aroostook Health Center.
Friday will see events at the Fire Station and park area including the Rotary Car Hop dinner, music, vendors, a movie, paint and sip and a special “no-bake” baking contest for kids. Bingo will also be on tap at the Legion.
Saturday will see breakfast at the Legion, and a parade followed by events at the high school including the junior high soccer tourney, music, vendors, car show, book sale and more. Anyone wishing to set up a booth is asked to contact Kathy at 540-6325.

Rotary Club
The Mars Hill Rotary Club met on Tuesday, June 19, at 6:30 a.m. at the Aroostook Health Center.
Rotarian Ed Wright spoke about his adventures with two teen drivers, snazzy lights and dead batteries. He also spoke of his thoughts on the new ranking system as it works with his two teens that have different learning styles and motivations.

Upcoming events for the week of June 27-July 3 include: Wednesday will feature Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Noodle Exercise at 9:30 a.m. and Adult Coloring at 1:30 p.m. Thursday will feature Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Bingo at 9:30 a.m., Game Time at 1:30 p.m. and Blaine Free Baptist at 6:30 p.m. Friday will feature Pokeno at 9:30 a.m. and Patio Social with refreshments at 1:30 p.m. Saturday will feature Bingo with Paula at 1:30 p.m. Sunday will be a free day with televised church in the day room. Monday will feature Nails with Shallie and Melissa at 9:30 a.m. and Catholic Mass at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday will feature Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Bingo at 9:30 a.m. and Game Time at 1:30 p.m.

Bingo
The William Cousins Post 118 of Mars Hill will host Bingo Saturday evening beginning at 7 p.m. at the Post. There are cash prizes. Refreshments are available. Come on out and enjoy a fun evening with friends.
