ASHLAND and EAGLE LAKE, Maine – Salina O’Clair, 94, of Ashland and Eagle Lake, went into our father’s loving arms on June 22, 2018, at Mercy Home in Eagle Lake, ME. Salina was born on June 29, 1923, in Ashland, daughter of the late Peter and Laura Beaulier of Ashland.
Salina worked at the Ashland Drug Store/Chasse’s Department Store. After graduation, she married Felix O’Clair Jr. on August 4, 1943, in Sheridan. Salina and Felix had 10 children, nine of which she raised on her own after Felix was killed in a tragic logging accident in 1961. Salina was a life time member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 9969 Ashland.
Salina was predeceased by a son, Donald O’Clair, two daughters, Donna Faye and Anne O’Clair Ellis, and also a very special friend, Hubert Boulier of Ashland. Salina is survived by her children, Robert and Elaine O’Clair of Buffalo Gap, Texas; Mary and Richard Gerow of Ashland; Jean and Herbert McPherson and Rick O’Clair of Portage Lake; James O’Clair of St. Augustine, Florida; Laurie and George Jacques of Garfield, and Felicia O’Clair and Vaughn of Presque Isle; 15 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mark Church, Ashland, at 10 a.m. on June 30, 2018. People may call before the mass. After the mass there will be a burial at the St. Mark cemetery in Sheridan. The family asks you join them in a celebration of life at the VFW on the Portage Rd. in Ashland.
