CARIBOU, Maine — Dr. Caleb Swanberg, a native of Caribou, recently returned to the area and is Pines Health Service’s newest family practice physician.
“Dr. Swanberg’s arrival allows Pines to further provide high quality health care, additionally reaching even more residents in Aroostook County who may not currently have a health care home,” said Pines Chief Operating Officer Lisa Caron.
“Dr. Swanberg grew up in The County, and it was his strong desire to return home after completing his schooling and residency program. We are thrilled to welcome him back.”
Swanberg is currently seeing patients out of the Caribou Health Center, located on the Access Highway in Caribou. He will also begin seeing patients twice a week at the Presque Isle Family Health Center in mid-August.
Swanberg received his BS from the University of Maine and earned his medical degree at Tufts University in Boston. He completed his residency program and served as chief resident at McKay Dee Family Medicine Residency in Ogden, Utah.
In his new role as a family practice physician, he looks forward to working with community members throughout The County and providing support to his patients with all aspects of medical care.
In his spare time, Swanberg enjoys all four seasons spent outdoors, hiking, running, traveling and, most importantly, spending time with his family. He is joined by his wife, Melissa, and his two young daughters, Rosalie and Madeleine.
