DOROTHY T. LEE, BRADENTON, FL – Dorothy T. Lee of Bradenton, FL, died on June 18, 2018, following a brief period of declining health. The daughter of Alfred and Odiana (Gardener) Thibodeau, she was born in Caribou, ME, on October 25, 1917.
She was educated in Caribou schools and graduated with honors from Caribou High School in 1934. Mrs. Lee resided in Houlton, ME, for 37 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and related Catholic organizations. Mrs. Lee served as secretary and administrative assistant to several Principals at Houlton High School starting in the 1950s and retiring in 1975. She moved to Bradenton, FL, in 1978.
She was predeceased by Hershel P. Lee, her husband of 58 years, in June 1998. Mrs. Lee is survived by two daughters, Nancy Lee Ehlert and her husband, Dr. George Ehlert, of Jacksonville, FL, and Mary Lee Kirk and her husband, Robert W. Kirk, of New Canaan, CT; four granddaughters, Jane Kirk Bascobert (Paul) of New York City, Sarah Kirk Barber (Bradley) of New Canaan, CT, Alison Ehlert Muncy (Jason) of Dallas, TX, and Melissa Ehlert Fleming (Brooks) of Naples, FL; eight great-grandchildren, Thomas, Brittany, and Brooke Barber of New Canaan, CT, Paul and Katherine Bascobert of New York City, Madison and Jackson Muncy of Dallas, TX, and Sawyer Fleming of Naples, FL.
A private memorial service will be held at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church in Sarasota, FL. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
