ASHLAND, Maine – Rayanne I. “Mum Mum” Hafford passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, July 23, 2018. Rayanne was born on November 26th, 1954 in Hudson, MA. She was the daughter of Normand Coulombe and Joan (Lavallee) Allen. Rayanne married the love of her life and best friend, Nelson on February 16th, 1979.
Rayanne worked for many years as a CNA in various nursing homes in both Massachusetts and Maine. Rayanne was always the life of the party. Her love of life and carefree spirit drew people to her. She is best known for her spunk and willingness to “tell it like it was”. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Rayanne is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Nelson; her daughter Kelli and her husband Stacy Sturgeon of Ashland, her son Nelson Hafford of Ashland and her “other” son, Brandon Clark and his fiancé Jennifer of Ashland. Her beloved grandchildren, Sean Colleton and his wife Dee of Anthony, Fl., Ashley Colleton of Port Richey, FL, Aaron (Harry-Poopas) and Laura (Bella) Sturgeon of Ashland, ME, Jakob (Jack) and Chandler Hafford of Ashland, ME, Ella Sparks of Presque Isle, ME, Lincoln Clark, Gabriella and Isabella Ayotte, of Ashland, ME. Her great- grandchildren; Mia Colleton of Anthony, FL, Anthony and Bryan Colleton of Port Richey, FL. In addition, she will be greatly missed by several brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
Rayanne was an avid animal lover. She leaves behind her beloved cats, her Pitbull, Dewey and her Jack Russel Terrier, Zoey.
Rayanne is predeceased by both her parents and her “tiny dancer” granddaughter Peyton Elizabeth Hafford.
At her request, there will be no services. There will be a Celebration of Life in her honor at the Ashland Recreation Center, Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. All are welcome.
At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers they ask that donations be made in her honor to an animal rescue or animal shelter of your choosing.
