Probus Club seeks new members

The Probus Club of Central Aroostook is a club of retired business and professional persons who meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. in the Northern Maine Community College campus dining center.  Following coffee, there is a speaker or program on an item of current local interest. New members are encouraged to join. Dues are $25 per year, and the bulk of the dues goes to a scholarship to an area student wishing to attend NMCC. This year’s winner of the Probus Scholarship is Shane Ireland, who is planning to major in electrical construction.
Community members interested in Probus membership can contact Karen Sweeney at 764-1749 or visit a meeting and join. The next meeting is July 19 at 10 a.m. at Reed Commons. All are welcome and invited.
