OAKFIELD, Maine — The Oakfield Seniors met Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the Smoke-Haulers Snowmobile club for their final meeting in August.
After a bountiful potluck luncheon the business meeting was called to order with The Lord’s Prayer followed by The Flag Salute. Jim Blois asked the blessing on the food. Sandra Grant was the 50/50 winner. Reports were read and accepted.
Alberta McDonald was voted in as the new President. Attending were Bernice Campbell, Jeanne Clements, Ellie Peck, George Barrow, Wannetta Townsend, Don and Charlotte Marley, Betty Burpee, Alberta McDonald, Sandra Grant, Jim and Helen Blois and Verna Boone.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, Sept. 5, with a potluck luncheon at 11:30 a.m., but come early and visit.
